The Lion’s year ends on 30 June and we have already conducted our handover so that Incoming President Ivan Bonnett can ‘hit the ground running’ at our first business meeting on Thursday 3 July.

With Christmas fading into our memories and the days now getting a little longer it now seems a good to time to update ourselves and our friends on our activities since my last report back in September. |

It was two years ago that we had our first Begonia Flower Carpet at the Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds. This was the first attempted in the UK and it was a great success by all measures. After the event we all pondered our aching limbs and breathed a sigh of relief that the many risks involved in the venture had been successfully handled. We then agreed ‘never again’. |
